Once a man is in college, he starts to be bombarded with anti-marriage messages which warn him that things are guaranteed to change after the honeymoon. And one of the most common warnings that gets drilled into the male brain is the notion that a wedding ring is a signal to a woman to stop taking good physical care of herself.
Whether this is generally true or not, is irrelevant. What matters is that, if your man believes this is something to worry about, it quickly becomes an obstacle in his mind and can put him in the category of men who wont commit. This sounds really simple (and even a bit silly), but what you just did was replace the possible mental image your man may have had of you in poor physical shape with that of a healthy, vibrant older woman who still loves her elliptical machine. And as effortless as this may seem, many times, this is all it takes to eliminate these kinds of objections. It’s just that easy.
